Today I had lunch with some fellow students, from when I was studying dental hygiene a few years ago. It was a meeting that I really wanted, to be honest. We had been trying to get together for some time and today it was possible.
These types of acts reconnect me with my essence, with who I really am and I think that summer is a good time to do everything that we are not able to do during other times of the year, mainly due to our obligations.
Furthermore, and without entering through mystical paths or anything similar, these acts help us connect with who we truly are, because many times our true essence is beneath layers such as “who they want us to be”, “who we believe we are” and many more. Sometimes we forget the most important layer which is “who we really are”

I repeat, I am not talking about trips to the most unconscious part of our being. I’m talking about reconnecting with that self, with what we were before being mothers of, workers of, couples of… with the simple fact of recovering habits that made us happy.
When we get into a routine, most of the time we put ourselves last in line in terms of attention and care.

Summer is a good time to reconnect and recover our essence; It is the perfect time of year to do things that we like to do and that we often forget. These are perfect days to meet people we don’t see often but who are actually important drivers for us.
I think this is the ideal season to charge ourselves with that energy boost that helps us cope with the routine.

According to experts, this reconnection with ourselves is a mandatory task every day for a minimum of 20 minutes. Those minutes, there are days that for me are outrageous. Although it is true that I find time to take my walks or ride my bike, it is impossible for me every day. And what’s worse. There are weeks that not even a day.
I know that some moms achieve it and take time for the gym, for meditation, who reconnect by cooking or give themselves showers with candles, oils and various aromas.

This is a call for those like me who suddenly see that the day has passed and perhaps we haven’t even seen ourselves in the mirror. Take advantage of the summer to do what you really like; Go scuba diving, drive a jet ski, go up Aneto, spend the day at a spa, meet up with your friends, those you haven’t seen in too long. Do everything that you like to do and that will almost immediately help you. fill you with energy for a good season.
Do everything that connects you with your being. Furthermore, I think this also helps us be okay with everything around us; to be more comfortable in my house and with mine. Let no one misunderstand me. I am very happy being a mother, wife and artisan/businesswoman. But also, and I think, above all, I am Lídia. This is the basis for everything around me to work for me.

Take advantage of the summer we have left.

Happy Breastfeeding!
